The Accessible Quality Healthcare (AQH) Project is a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) that supports Kosovo health sector reform and complements other donor-supported programmes with a focus on Primary Healthcare (PHC). The project is implemented by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.

The third phase of AQH aims to consolidate and upscale the achievements of the two previous phases, for a period of 3 years, and will continue to stimulate the use of quality PHC services by all citizens, with particular attention to the needs and inclusion of socially vulnerable populations. Within this phase the project focuses also very much on sustainability aspects, targeting to embed project supported interventions to national and municipal public health actors’ practice.

The project is seeking applicants for the following position:

Statistician / Data Analyst

Job summary:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for conducting data management, data cleaning, and data analysis of the Kosovo Non-Communicable Disease Cohort (KOSCO) study.

Essential competencies:

Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in data cleaning and data analysis.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct data management and cleaning of the KOSCO study database
• Conduct statistical analysis for scientific publications in collaboration with different KOSCO partners
• Production of statistical tables and graphics for KOSCO reports

Key competencies:

• Have medium to high-level experience in statistics using STATA and/or R software
• Experience in working with large, longitudinal datasets from observational studies
• Proficiency in identifying and handling missing, inconsistent, or erroneous data
• Ability to standardize, and transform raw datasets for statistical analysis
• Ability to summarize insights into clear and concise reports
• Experience to collaborate as partner in scientific teams towards scientific output
• Strong written and oral skills in English and Albanian
• Able to work in a changing, multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships
• Willingness to travel between Kosovo and Switzerland

This is full-time position open to national experts. The duration of employment will be for 3 months with a possibility of extension. Estimated starting date 1^st of March 2025.
