Social Video Researcher & Editor 

This is the best job available on the internet – watching videos all day. We’re looking for someone with a great eye for sourcing viral content who can spot emerging trends in a fast moving environment. You should be passionate about all things social video and have experience sourcing and engaging with online communities across platforms.

You must be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset and attitude.You’ll live on social media, and have an understanding of audiences and what makes a shareable and engaging video, as well as how to optimise for different platforms.

Source, edit and post some of the biggest videos on the internet.

• Proactively source engaging video content that our audience will love ahead of competitors
• Source and edit UGC and required video content for all platforms in order to hit key KPIs and business targets
• Proactively reach out to creators and copyright holders and secure rights to their content
• Regularly monitor insights using social media analysis tools, and review and report on effectiveness to maximise results
• Adhere to brand and community guidelines when posting content, ensuring all content is reflective of the JOE tone of voice
• Maintain impeccable grammar and punctuation skills when subtitling all video content
• Maintain a positive relationship with creators with effective relationship management
• Track and organise content and results in an efficient and effective system

Skills and experience we’d like you to have:

• Advanced English skills are a must;
• Experience of editing content for social media, ideally Facebook & Instagram
• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Excellent storytelling skills
• Impeccable grammar and punctuation skills
• Organisational skills – calm under pressure and good at planning ahead
• Able to move quickly and easily, embracing and responding to change
• An attention to detail
• Self starter who proactively plans content
• Ability to use initiative and make effective decisions
• Knowledge of media law, including copyright and consent, and ethical considerations, is also desirable
