StarLabs is seeking a talented and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to design and develop custom themes and plugins from scratch. If you have deep expertise in WordPress development, PHP, and JavaScript, and enjoy building scalable web solutions, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

• ​ Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• ​ Ensure websites are optimized for speed, security, and SEO best practices.
• ​ Develop robust WordPress solutions using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• ​ Work with APIs and third-party services to enhance functionality.
• ​ Write clean, maintainable code and follow WordPress coding standards.
• ​ Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, bugs, and compatibility issues.
• ​ Work closely with designers, project managers, and developers to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements:

• ​ Minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
• ​ Strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
• ​ Proven experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• ​ Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and database structure.
• ​ Experience with WordPress REST API and third-party API integrations.
• ​ Familiarity with performance optimization, caching, and security best practices.
• ​ Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.
• ​ Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF) is a plus.
• ​ Familiarity with server environments (Apache, Nginx) and deployment processes is a plus.
• ​ Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
