PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for visiting agencies and corporate clients to create sales opportunities and to represent the hotel. Has the mission to meet the sales targets of the hotel to provide maximum revenue and profitability.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the room and banquet sales to agencies, corporate clients as well as individual clients.
- Responsible for setting his/her sales target in the light of the hotel’s overall sales target and inline with sales strategy and making action plan to meet the targets.
- Have through knowledge about the market and competitors. Closely follow up on changes in the market conditions that would influence the revenues and closely follow up the account activities of agencies and corporate clients.
- Follow up on market trends and inform S&M Manager.
- Renew and revise action plan in line with changing financial targets.
- Travel for business when needed, represent the hotel at fairs and exhibitions.
- Activate sales action plan along with the marketing plan.
- Visit corporates on daily basis and host hotel tours for visitors.
- Improve relations with business partners, give high-class service and reply to correspondence in not more than 24 hours of receipt.
- Search for potential clients, follow up on new markets to create additional business opportunities through sales visits.
- Responsible to prepare contracts and sales documentation correctly and inline with the standards.
- Handle all guest complaints directly to the best of his/her ability at the best professional level.
- Keep track of financial plan of the hotel to assure that the pricing strategy presented to business partners is in line with financial plan of the hotel.
- Closely cooperate with front office team to meet the targets as one team.
- Participate to departmental and interdepartmental meetings.
- Develop networks to increase business potential of the hotel.
- Follow up on potential clients and create awareness of the hotel.
- Know about the inventory changes in the hotel due to renovation, closing outlets, new outlets and decoration changes.
- Know about facilities and activities in the hotel and neighborhood.
- Responsible to know the facilities, restaurants and bars in the hotel with price range and operating hours.
- Responsible to know room types, room numbers, meeting room names and capacities, layout of the hotel, amenities in the rooms, guest loyalty program features and benefits, as well as VIP standards.
- Participate to any mandatory trainings / meetings implemented by the management team.
- Present positive attitude and good cooperation with his/her collegues.
- Adhere to all departmental procedures and standards.
- Adhere to Fire, Health & Safety regulations of the hotel.
- Responsible for correct and safe use of the equipment in his/her department.
- Maintain neat and clean attire in line with Access grooming standards.
- Undertake other responsibilities assigned by his/her manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: University diploma preferably on Travel Trade and Hospitality/or Social Science. Additional hospitality training certificates will be an asset.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales experience at the branded hotel chains/or retail industry.
Other Qualifications: Able to use Opera software, good level of spoken and written English, and additional language is an asset. Good at using MS Office programs, excellent interpersonal relationships, skilled on time management and planning, attention to detail, good follow up skills, result oriented, good presenter, a team player, presents positive behavior under stress, self motivated and hard working.
