StarLabs is seeking for another skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performing microservices. We are looking for a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development and testing processes and will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Develop, document, and implement test plans and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications
• Manual Testing: Perform manual testing activities, including exploratory, functional, and regression testing, to ensure the software meets the specified requirements
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies

Ownership:

Take ownership of the Product and build a comprehensive knowledge of its features, functionalities and potential applications. The ideal candidate will proactively identify issues and address areas for improvement

• Support: Work closely with technical support specialists to resolve incidents and customer queries
• Test Automation: Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Cypress or similar frameworks

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs
• Experience with HTTP client tools (Google Chrome developer tools, Postman)
• Experience of industry-standard test automation tools & automation frameworks (Cypress)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
