Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our Scrum team, focusing specifically on our accountant application. This role sits at the intersection of stakeholders and software development, ensuring that the application meets the business requirements and provides an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with the business goals.
  • Product Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure that development aligns with market demands and stakeholder expectations.
  • Requirement Documentation: Clearly articulate and write user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications for new features.
  • Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the Scrum team during sprint planning to break down features into manageable tasks and assign them accordingly.
  • Feedback Loops: Manage feedback loops and conduct reviews to gather continuous input from stakeholders and end-users.
  • Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends and competitor products to ensure our application remains competitive and relevant.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the QA team to ensure features meet the defined acceptance criteria and are tested thoroughly.
  • Workshops and Demos: Conduct regular product demos and workshops to keep stakeholders informed and engaged with the product development process.
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap, providing clear timelines and milestones.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Scrum methodologies and Agile practices.
  • Proficiency in Product Management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and business processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Work Experience:

  • Prior experience in a product owner role is an advantage but not strictly necessary for candidates demonstrating strong potential and motivation.
  • Background in IT or software development teams, especially relating to accounting or financial applications, is a plus.
