Job Description: 

Network Engineer provides and executes configurations of Networking, secure and efficient data communication. Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance (updating) and monitoring of all active network equipment and security, in order to ensure the proper and safe operation of customer’s network as needed. Provide status reports to Project Manager and Technical/ Team Lead on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals.

Knowledge level and Skills:

CCNA or equivalent knowledge to:

• must be able to describe and have basic implementation skills for interconnecting network devices and provide technical support on the Level required by customer solution;
• technical responsibilities to configure the services according to the instructions of the team leader or mentor that are determined by the customer’s design lines.
• Is not responsible for changing the design or consulting for any changes to the infrastructure or planning, these tasks are analyzed and elaborated by the team or project leader as well as the project manager.
• In addition to the implementation and tasks assigned by the Taem Lead or PM, he/she is also responsible for reporting to the TL any problems encountered as well as documenting the work, work methods and techniques of implementing services in the customer’s infrastructure.
• Routing: Understanding and implementing Single Area OSPF and single homing eBGP
• Switching Good understanding and implementation of switching technologies like STP & VLAN
• MPLS Services: Good understanding and implementation of VPLS, EPL, EVPL and FIA services based on customer and design team guidelines
