The Regional Challenge Fund for the Western Balkan 6 economies aims to increase the employability of vocational education and training (VET) students by reinforcing a dual training approach. The funding of projects put forward by consortia between vocational training providers and companies will be allocated based on a competitive selection process. It is financed by BMZ and co-financed by SDC via KfW and implemented by the Chamber Investment Forum (CIF). The CIF has charged a consortium led by IPC GmbH and PLANCO Consulting, supported by swisscontact and KPMG Bulgaria, with the management of the project.

For the project team we are looking for a National/Regional Technical Expert for Mechanical Engineering and Metal Processing Equipment/Supply for VET schools (f/m/d).

Your tasks

• Conducting site visits to VET schools to discuss the equipment needs put forward by the school and assess those needs
• Writing technical specifications for the procurement documents
• Monitoring the delivery, installation and proper use of equipment
• The position is part time; the precise number of working days will depend on the number of schools in need of support and their activity and investment plans

About the project

• The objective of the project is to increase youth employability and boosting the competitiveness of enterprises in the project countries mentioned above
• Consortia of VET providers and companies apply to get funding for their dual or vocational programmes; this funding includes financing of equipment for VET providers

Requirements

• You have 10+ years of working experience in assessing and specifying equipment and supply for VET schools in Kosovo
• You have experience in similar assignments and in assessing the suitability of equipment for VET schools and writing technical specifications in mechanical engineering and metal processing or closely related fields
• You are fluent in Albanian and in English
• You are currently residing in Kosovo
