StarLabs is looking for a Junior Java Developer to join one of our engineering teams working on scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for someone early in their career, eager to apply their Java skills in real-world projects, and grow by working closely with experienced developers in a collaborative, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test Java-based applications.
• Write clean, maintainable code while learning best practices and development workflows.
• Debug and resolve simple technical issues with guidance from senior developers.
• Participate in code reviews to understand standards and improve code quality.
• Stay curious and up to date with Java frameworks and backend development trends.
• Create unit tests to ensure basic code reliability and coverage.
• Follow agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with team members, including developers, architects, and QA engineers.

Technical Requirements:

• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals (variables, loops, conditionals).
• Practical experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with data structures (arrays, lists, sets, queues, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of sorting/searching algorithms.
• Exposure to Spring Boot or similar MVC frameworks.
• Some experience or education in backend development.
• Ability to write and maintain unit tests.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Eagerness to learn and improve in a professional development environment.
