Job Description:

Your role as a Graphic Designer at JOE is to work with the commercial and editorial teams to develop and deliver on-brand graphics. You will be in charge of upholding the standards of the brand, making sure that guidelines are adhered to when executing new graphics. This job requires a strong understanding of delivery specs for social media, an ability to quickly conceptualise and execute ideas and a willingness to constantly improve the brand through design.

Responsibilities:

• Design and supply graphics for commercial projects including static posts and stories, making sure both brands are represented effectively 
• Design bespoke graphics and templates for the editorial team including static posts, stories and thumbnails
• Make sure templates are optimised for other teams to use with ease
• Update brand guidelines with latest rules and styling 
• Design logos and branding for new show formats, making sure they feel like a JOE product
• Manage project deliverables and timescales
• Assist with website re-design research, wireframes and styling

Requirements

• You will be a fantastic time keeper and even better at communicating where you are in projects, working alongside the wider team for support and to give support to those who need it.
• Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Effective in communicating and implementing conceptual ideas both visually and verbally .
• Good understanding of social media delivery specs and safe zones Ability to look around the business and make branding improvements
• Be fast, accurate and and work will to a written treatment 
• -Be able to switch from a commercial mindset to an editorial one. 
• You will be solutions focused, able to think on your feet and offer alternatives to any issues.
• You will be a champion of the JMG brands, know what it stands for and what our users want to see.
• You will need to be someone who can deal with change, different workloads and being able to manage a couple of projects at a time.

CONSIDERATION:   Applicants should be aware that whilst this is a Monday – Friday role, there will often be occasions where shoots are on the weekends and evenings. Time off in lieu will be given in accordance.
