StarLabs is seeking for another skilled skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performing microservices. The ideal candidate will have experience with Typescript and NextJS on the front end, as well as NodeJS and ExpressJS on the back end. A solid understanding of full-stack engineering and the various trade-offs involved, coupled with a passion for building performant and fluid interfaces using cutting-edge technologies, is essential.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

• Application Lifecycle: Participate in the entire application lifecycle, with a focus on coding, debugging, and testing.
• Front-end architecture: Design and develop performant code in Typescript using the latest features in NextJS
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs using NodeJS and ExpressJS
• Quality and Best Practices: Promote best practices, focus on quality, and explore new ways to enhance current and new systems.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers across multiple teams and continents to share knowledge and improve the codebase.
• Testing: Write unit and component automated tests to ensure high-quality code.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug front-end web apps to identify and fix issues
• Legacy Application Improvement: Utilize cutting-edge technologies to enhance legacy applications.
• Technical Requirements: Gather and address technical and design requirements for new and existing systems.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Typescript and NextJS 14, including newer features such as server side rendering, server components, incremental static regeneration and others
• Experienced with front-end related technologies such as static CDNs, edge middleware and more
• Good understanding of performance optimization and web vital optimization to create a great user experience
• Strong experience with TailwindCSS or similar libraries
• Knowledgeable in front-end monitoring, observability and testing tools such as Playwright, Highlight, Datadog and more
• Experienced with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Skills:

• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team, following Agile methodology.
• Deep understanding of source control and GIT flow.
• Prior knowledge or willingness to learn about online gaming flows
