The “Greening Private Enterprises in Kosovo” (GPEK) project, tendered by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), aims to enhance the competitiveness of Kosovo’s Small and Medium Enterprises by increasing their adoption of green practices, based on a favourable business environment thus ultimately contributing to inclusive and decent employment.

For this upcoming project, we are looking for results-oriented and innovative candidates for various positions with the expertise and experience in the fields listed below, at 100% employment rate based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Employment is contingent upon Helvetas being awarded the tender.

FIELDS OF EXPERTISE

Component Managers (3) with expertise in the following areas:

• Capacity building and awareness raising of SMEs; support to intermediary organizations; advocacy activities for conducive business environment and advisory to the government
• Compliance with ESG standards and regulations; general and sectoral implications for the EU Green Deal package towards the EU Neighbourhood countries / international supply chains;
• Environmental management systems in SMEs; resource efficient and cleaner production methodologies; innovative / digital technologies and business models contributing to green and just transition;
• Access to green finance (incl. impact financing)

Knowledge Management / MRM (Monitoring and Results Measurement) Officer (1):

• Designing and implementing the M&E system, including a learning and knowledge management framework of the project

Communications Officer (1):

• Developing and implementing project’s communication strategy, considering the specifics of communicating just and green transition for behavioral change
• Management of all communication activities, creating content, maintaining media relations

REQUIREMENTS

• At least bachelor’s degree in environmental science, economy, social sciences or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in managing interventions/activities in one or more fields of expertise mentioned above
• Strong context knowledge and network of relevant stakeholders in Kosovo
• Excellent communication, teamwork and networking skills
• Strong facilitation skills and good knowhow of the private sector and green agenda implementation in Kosovo
• Fluency in English and Albanian or Serbian.
