Position Overview: Are you a tenacious negotiator with a flair for communication? We’re seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team and help us manage and recover overdue payments from our clients. Working closely with our Legal Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring timely payment collection. If you’re organized, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to earn commissions based on the invoices you successfully collect!
Key Responsibilities:
- Reach out to clients with overdue payments and send demand letters.
- Employ your phenomenal communication and negotiation skills to resolve payment issues and secure overdue funds.
- Stay highly organized and manage your accounts efficiently, maintaining accurate records of all communications and transactions.
- Collaborate with the Legal Team to handle complex cases and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure all communications and actions comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Use Excel proficiently to track and analyze payment data, creating reports and insights to improve collection strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a sales or similar role, with a strong track record of successful negotiations.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Extremely proficient in Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
- A strong-willed, confident individual who can manage challenges with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
