On behalf of our client, KEP Trust, the leading Micro Finance Institution in Kosovo with 31 branches and over 260 staff, we are seeking an exceptional and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take the helm of a dynamic organization that has consistently driven financial inclusion and empowerment. This is an opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a well-established institution and guide it through its next phase of development.

Key Responsibilities

As Chair of the Management Board, the CEO will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of KEP Trust. 

The CEO will:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies that position KEP Trust as a leader in inclusive finance and sustainable growth.
  • Uphold KEP’s institutional values, promoting a culture of transparency, integrity, and innovation.
  • Engage and inspire high-performing teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, lenders, partners, and the broader community.
  • Provide strong governance support by preparing and presenting timely reports and analyses to the Board of Directors.
  • Proactively address challenges and opportunities within the microfinance sector in Kosovo, particularly in digital transformation, risk management, and ESG principles.
  • Act as a strategic thinker who develops the pathway for KEP Trust in a rapidly changing environment, ensuring that KEP Trust remains relevant in providing sustainable and inclusive financial services to its valued clients.
  • Lead with due respect for KEP’s institutional history and culture while maintaining a clear vision of future development.
  • Serve as an effective communicator who engages all relevant stakeholders and upholds good governance principles.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in microfinance, NBFI, or the banking sector, including 5+ years in senior/top management roles, and in-depth familiarity with the MFI business model.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead diverse teams, with a strong commitment to financial inclusion and social impact.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans that drive institutional growth.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with fluency in both Albanian and English (knowledge of Serbian is a plus).
  • Ethical Conduct: High moral and ethical standards, demonstrating integrity and commitment to responsible financial management.
