Sharrcem, a TITAN Group company has an excellent opportunity for a Chemical Engineer. The primary scope of this job role consists of performing all chemical tests and analysis during his / her own working time, required for good performance in the activities of Quality Control Department.

Main Responsibilities

• Carries out analysis and tests by using laboratory instruments and machinery, as well as by using classical methods according to predefined standard procedures.
• Is responsible for analysis accuracy, instructed by QM and QCD heads.
• Follows work instructions and Health & safety instructions during his/her job activities.
• Maintains the lab equipment in good working condition.
• The laboratory chemist performs several tests and analysis for several materials, depending on Quality Control Department needs, and performs additional work instructed by his / her Quality Control Manager and direct supervisor.
• The laboratory chemist performs various tasks in different sections of the laboratory according to the needs and instructions of the Quality Control Manager and / or the Head of the Chemical Laboratory.
• Carries out chemical analysis by classical methods according to the work instructions based on our EN standards, for major and minor elements as follows for several materials.
• Carries out additional wet chemical analysis, based on quality control needs, for several materials. such as raw alternative materials and / or soluble chromium (VI) content of clinker and cement
• The lab chemist is responsible for the preparation of several chemical solutions and indicators which are needed for carrying out classical methods in all lab sectors.
• Carries out daily physic-chemical analysis needed from other Plant departments, such as circulation and portable water analysis by the request of the Mechanical Department.

  Candidate Profile

• University degree, Chemist or Chemical Engineer required.
• Good knowledge in Computer usage
• Good skills in English language
• Good skills to work in a group.
• Previous work experience is advantageous.
