Job Title: Backend Developer (Java Spring)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Java Spring to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring over three years of hands-on experience in backend development, combined with solid German language skills, basic DevOps knowledge, and an understanding of frontend collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Java with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and smooth user experiences.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Design and document APIs using Swagger, and perform API testing using Postman.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and TestContainers.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
• Work within an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) to deliver high-quality software.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda).
• Familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM) using Keycloak for Single Sign-On (SSO) and role-based access control.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, Kubernetes, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, and version control tools.
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles.
• Great command of German B2/ C1 and ability to collaborate effectively in a bilingual environment.
• Team-  player with excellent communication skills.
