About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Back-End Java Developer with proficiency in the German language to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems that power our applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in German to support our projects in [region or market focus].

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance back-end applications using Java and related frameworks.
• Design and implement APIs and microservices to support front-end applications and mobile clients.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers to integrate services and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase.
• Document solutions and processes in both English and German.
• Communicate effectively with German-speaking stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher) and popular frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• German language proficiency at B2/C1 level for both verbal and written communication.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices in back-end development.
• German language skills at B2/C1 level is mandatory

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Java Back-End Developer.
• Proven experience working in German-speaking environments or with German clients.
