AWS CLOUD ARCHITECT

Mission
We’re looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a high-performance, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure.

You’ll work closely with the product and data teams while maintaining full autonomy over technical decisions and deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Design a modular, scalable, and secure AWS architecture (multi-account, multi-environment setup).
Deploy and manage cloud services using Terraform: VPC, RDS (PostgreSQL), Neptune, ECS, ALB, IAM, Secrets Manager.
Manage ECS clusters for containerized applications using Docker (notably FastAPI).
Configure cloud security: CloudTrail, AWS Config, IAM policies, network segmentation, monitoring.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
Contribute to data ingestion and processing (CSV/external APIs → PostgreSQL/Neptune).
Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting via CloudWatch, and optionally Prometheus/Grafana.
Document architecture, deployment procedures, and best practices (OpenAPI, README).
Provide DevOps-style support to dev/data teams.

Core Technical Skills

Proven AWS expertise (4+ years) in real-world production environments
Mastery of ECS, RDS (PostgreSQL), IAM, S3, CloudTrail, Config, Secrets Manager, ALB
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (modular, reusable architecture)
Experience with Docker, FastAPI, and backend service integration
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab, test automation, secret management
Familiarity with graph databases (AWS Neptune) and vector storage (pgvector) is a plus
Solid understanding of cloud security: encryption, auditing, granular access control
Excellent technical writing skills (internal docs, architecture diagrams, Swagger/OpenAPI)

Bonus if you have:

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Pro, SysOps Admin, etc.)
Experience with AI/ML stacks, vectorization, NLP, or graph data processing
A product/data-driven mindset and comfort working in early-stage environments

Profile

A seasoned cloud engineer with a strong track record in AWS infrastructure design
Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of technical decisions
Able to clearly document, explain, and justify architectural choices
Confident collaborating with cross-functional teams (data, backend, product)
