Sharrcem, a TITAN Group company is seeking a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to join our Electrical Department. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, automation technologies, and programming languages.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for electrical systems and processes.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
• Conduct testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems as they arise.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams.
• Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.
• Perform maintenance at the automation equipment and components i.e. PLCs, I/Os, servers, network devices, automation networks, computers/workstations.
• Keep records for all changes done to central and local PLC’s program.
• Keep the equipment updated by installing the latest versions of relevant software.
• Perform back up of the PLC’s (central and local ones).
• Design and implement automation CAPEX projects. 
• Suggest ways to optimize the operation of the plant and reduce the total production cost.
• Define the necessary spare parts for the uninterrupted operation of the plant. Minimize the relevant cost by optimizing the min / max limits at the warehouse.
• Update the relevant as build drawings of automation installations.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Electrical / Electronic Engineering (preferable master’s degree/ 5 years studies/ or bachelor degree) 
• Safety category at least 2
• Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, and instrumentation.
• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
• Familiarity with electrical CAD software.
• Very Good Knowledge of English language
• Excellent reading of electrical wiring diagrams
• Excellent knowledge of the use of PCs.
• Excellent knowledge of PLC’s
• Good knowledge of electrical instruments/ transmitters
• Knowledge of use of any electrician tools like multimeter.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
