JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – ISLAMIC RELIEF KOSOVA

Islamic Relief is an international relief and development charity founded in 1984 with its headquarters in Birmingham, UK. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, Islamic Relief promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities – regardless of race, religion or gender. In Kosovo, Islamic Relief started its activity since 1999.

Islamic Relief Kosova is currently looking for a potential candidate to join our dedicated Team.

Position: Administration & Finance Assistant

Location: Pristina

Working Hours: Full Time (08:00 – 16:00), Monday – Friday

Ref. no: IR/RKS/19 – 2024

     JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Receiving of donations in the office;
  • Depositing funds in the bank, collected from donations;
  • Reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the revenues and expenses of the Local Fundraising department;
  • Registration of incomes and expenses in the software (Microsoft Dynamics AX – recognition of which is not mandatory);
  • Establishing accurate transaction data of the department’s activity;
  • Checking and verifying the invoices and documentation of the organization;
  • Balancing the cash register;
  • Correctly keeping the documentation in the file;
  • Respecting the legislation in force and the instructions of the IRK;
  • Performs work and tasks in the relevant field according to the requirements and needs of the organization, in coordination with the job description.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to the Line Manager
  • Works closely with the Line Manager
  • Liaises at all levels with staff within the organization.

*JOB REQUIREMENT*

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Faculty of Economy (in studies – last year preferable)
  • English Language (B2 – Intermediate)

SKILLS

  • Excellent word processing, excel and database skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable administration and office management skills.
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining management information and data retrieval systems.
  • Experience of diary and correspondence management.
  • Strong written communication skills necessary to draft letters, reports and other documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of using relationship management database software.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage day-to-day administrative and office management functions.
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collate data and produce reports.
  • Able to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales.
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team, without close supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, face to face and over the telephone, and in writing.
  • Able to work methodically with a good attention to details.
  • Able to demonstrate a consistent approach to others with confidence and Integrity.
