GSI Associates LLC (www.gsiassociates.com) is an international company providing business support services worldwide, including management consulting, financial advisory, outsourcing, translation, cyber, sales, and marketing services. We are a UK-owned and managed international consulting firm based in London with offices in Kosova, Malta, North Macedonia, and Romania. GSI was established in the Balkans with the Romanian division in 2009, followed by the North Macedonian office in 2015, the Kosova office in 2019, and recently the Malta office in 2020.

We are looking for an Accountant who will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist with financial reporting. 

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Either Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or 5+ years of experience in relevant position
  • Professional certifications are preferred but not mandatory
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role (usually 2-3+ years)
  • Proficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks and Xero
  • Ability to Prepare Financial Statements
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to Analyse Data
  • Accounting Organizational Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel 
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak financial periods (e.g., tax season).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial/accounting transactions and enter key data into the accounting systems of clients of GSI who are primarily based in the UK but cover other countries around the world
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and transactions.
  • Generate flash reports to analyse and monitor profit margins, providing key financial insights for management review.
  • Process bank payments efficiently, ensuring compliance with company procedures and payment timelines.
  • Keeps account books and systems up to date
  • Works with sales and purchase ledgers, and spreadsheets.
  • Support duties related to accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Communicate effectively via phone or email with the client’s accounting department.
  • Cooperate closely and provide support to the Accounts Department in successfully completing tasks and duties. 
  • At all times performing duties based on laws and regulations.
