Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement/Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role is crucial in helping us deliver seamless operations and enhance the overall guest experience at our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing products and services required for daily operations.
- Maintain and update records of inventory, suppliers, and purchase orders.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Process purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
- Review and verify invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
- Prepare and analyze reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
- Support the procurement team in developing and implementing strategies for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
