About the job: 

Our Shopware Developer works together with Frontend Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and a Product Owner and is responsible in the team for the further development of the respective store product, which we have currently divided into Discover and Checkout at Asambeauty. As a Shopware developer, the developer supports the connection of further services to the Shopware backend as well as the provision of corresponding business logic to our headless frontend or to the apps. You make a significant contribution to customer satisfaction and the economic success of our store. As a Shopware developer, you will regularly exchange information on architecture etc. with the other Shopware developers in the other product teams. You will report to the TechLead Backend.

Basic tasks:

• working in a cross-functional product team
• our teams are following the scrum methodology
• building technical concepts that serves the needs of our customers the most
• supporting Product owner to bring business need and technical opportunities together
• Development of shopware extensions

 Expected Skills

• Development and customization of our Shopware 6 platform, including a deep understanding of its architecture and ecosystem (plugins, apps, etc.)
• deep experiences with API integration and development, f.e. creating and customizing RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication between Shopware 6 and other third-party services (following headless approach) (min 2 y)
• very good experienced in optimizing backend processes and queries in favor of performance and reliability
• good skilled in managing databases, particularly MySQL, and implementing efficient data storage solutions
• knowledge of securing backend applications, including data protection, authentication, and authorization techniques
• very deep expertise with PHP and the Symfony framework (min 5 years)
• Familiarity with Docker (optional)
• solution oriented mindset, who thinks two steps ahead
• a curious and energetic person who thinks customer orientation and tech together
• very good communication skills in English (C1) and German (optional)
• agile behavior to support step-by-step development of the team
