Job Summary:

As a Junior Cyber Security / Information Security Engineer at InterAdria L.L.C., you will have the opportunity to kickstart your career in the dynamic field of cybersecurity. You will work closely with experienced professionals to assist in securing digital assets, implementing cybersecurity solutions, and monitoring for threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SIEM Management: Assist in the management and configuration of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms to monitor and analyze security events;
  • Penetration Testing: Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments using Cyber Tools for Pentesting;
  • Endpoint Security: Learn and assist in the management of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions;
  • Incident Response: Support incident response efforts, including analyzing security incidents and implementing mitigation strategies;
  • Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic, logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security threats;
  • SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response): Participate in the development and implementation of security automation and orchestration workflows to enhance incident response efficiency;
  • Identity-based Security: Assist in the management of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, ensuring proper authentication and authorization controls;
  • Access Management Control: Contribute to access control policies and practices to safeguard sensitive data and resources;
  • MDR/MSSP (Managed Detection and Response/Managed Security Service Provider): Collaborate with third-party providers and internal teams for managed security services and monitoring;
  • Automated Security: Explore and learn about automated security solutions and contribute to their implementation to streamline security processes;
  • Endpoint Protection: Assist in the deployment and maintenance of endpoint protection solutions to safeguard devices from malware and threats;
  • Data Security: Support data security initiatives, including data encryption, data loss prevention, and data classification;
  • Vulnerability Management: Contribute to vulnerability scanning and management efforts to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities;
  • Breach Attack Simulations: Participate in simulated breach exercises to evaluate the organization’s readiness and response to security incidents;
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, incident reports, and cybersecurity procedures;
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior cybersecurity professionals and cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture;

Qualifications:

  • Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
  • A strong interest in cybersecurity with a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles;
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms, penetration testing tools, and EDR/XDR solutions is a plus;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward security;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) are advantageous but not required;
  • At least 6 months of proven experience or internship;
