NGO Peer Educators Network (PEN) is looking for two (2) Field Officers and one (1) Communications Officer for Amplifying Local Voices for Equitable Development (ALVED), a UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF) funded project which seeks to support municipal-level mechanisms in Kosovo and Serbia to contribute to the fair distribution of resources to communities.

Responsibilities for the Field Officer:

  • Work closely with Project Manager and project staff;
  • Conduct outreach activities for which aim to mobilize young people to participate in ALVED’s workshops;
  • Prepare relevant material for the workshops;
  • Organize transportation to the workshops for the participants;
  • Conduct training of trainers;
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of the workshops and other social events;
  • Support youth-led projects during the implementation of their projects and follow closely their project’s flow and activities;
  • Contribute to the monitoring, documentation and reporting of the above;
  • Participate and support other activities of the project as requested by the Project Manager;
  • Participate and support other activities by PEN as requested by the Executive Director.

Qualifications for the Field Officer:

  • Relevant university degree (i.e. social sciences);
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in relevant fields;
  • Highly motivated, takes initiative; is flexible and, works independently and as well as in teams;
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills; comfortable leading large groups and conducting energizers;
  • Fluency in Albanian, both written and spoken;
  • English is essential, both written and spoken; knowledge of Serbian is a big advantage;
  • Possession of driving license (Category B) is preferable.

Responsibilities for the Communications Officer:

  • Work closely with the Head of Communications;
  • Collaborate and support the Head of Communications and the project team to develop and implement an effective communications strategy for the organization which aligns with the project;
  • Implement activities in the communications component of the project;
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the project’s activities;
  • Assist the project staff in the preparation and implementation of the workshops and other social events;
  • Conduct social media updates and monitoring, and develop content for social media platforms;
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and other media duties as assigned;
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database;
  • Participate and support other activities of the project as requested by the Head of Communications or Project Manager;
  • Participate and support other activities by PEN as requested by the Executive Director.

Qualifications for the Communications Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in communications or relevant fields;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management systems;
  • Highly motivated, takes initiative; is flexible and, works independently and as well as in teams;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in Albanian, both written and spoken;
  • English is essential, both written and spoken; knowledge of Serbian is a big advantage.
