JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – ISLAMIC RELIEF KOSOVA
Islamic Relief is an international relief and development charity founded in 1984 with its headquarters in Birmingham, UK. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, Islamic Relief promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities – regardless of race, religion or gender. In Kosovo, Islamic Relief started its activity since 1999.
Islamic Relief Kosova is currently looking for a potential candidate to join our dedicated Team.
Position: MEAL Assistant (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning)
Location: Pristina
Working Hours: Full Time (08:00 – 16:00), Monday – Friday

JOB PURPOSE:
- The MEAL Assistant will be responsible for managing data at the project level of Outputs Indicators, Quality Monitoring, and FRM (Feedback and Reporting Mechanism).
- Conduct regular field visits to collect data from project sites and ensure data quality.
- Support the timely collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Support the MEAL Coordinator in analyzing collected data and preparing reports.
- Ensure that reporting deadlines are met and that reports are submitted to donors and stakeholders as required.
- Help in the establishment and management of feedback and complaint mechanisms to ensure project accountability to beneficiaries.
- Document and share best practices and lessons learned with the project team.
- Support program team and consultants in the field while conducting situation analysis study, baseline, midterm, and end-line evaluation.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to the Line Manager
- Works closely with the Line Manager
- Liaises at all levels with staff within the organization.
*JOB REQUIREMENT*
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous 1 year experience in data collection, monitoring and evaluation, or working in a similar role is an advantage (more than 1 year, preferable).
- Experience in working with local communities or development projects is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required, both spoken and written.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Driving License – Cat. B (obligatory).
SKILLS
- Excellent word processing, excel and database skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Demonstrable administration and office management skills.
- Experience of setting up and maintaining management information and data retrieval systems.
- Experience of diary and correspondence management.
- Strong written communication skills necessary to draft letters, reports and other documentation.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner.
KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and understanding of using relationship management database software.
ABILITIES
- Ability to manage day-to-day administrative and office management functions.
- Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collate data and produce reports.
- Able to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales.
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team, without close supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, face to face and over the telephone, and in writing.
- Able to work methodically with a good attention to details.
- Able to demonstrate a consistent approach to others with confidence and Integrity.
