Your role

You will work for a German ed-tech company that builds the biggest online learning community for students worldwide and has more than 1 million users already. You will collaborate with other technical staff to deliver and maintain a fully functional software implementation. We hope you can put your passion for software engineering to work for creating highly immersive user applications.

Your duties will include maintaining code repositories via GitHub and internal server storage modules.

You will

• Liaise with other developers.
• Design and implement software which is to be written in the Go programming language.
• Write efficient, scalable, and modular Go code.
• Understand how to create efficient and effective microservices.
• Identify and fix bugs that are found within code.
• Assessment and testing of technology trends
• Process and performance optimization

What you bring to the table

• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience working on GO Language
• Overall, 2-5 years of professional experience in the field of agile software development
• A degree in IT is a plus
• Good knowledge of databases (MongoDB, MSSQL / MySQL)
• Experience with Web Services, Web API, REST and Microservices
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, RKT, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Basic experience working with AWS/Google Cloud
• Familiarity with code versioning tools {such as Git, SVN}
• Independent and structured work, teamwork and a strong communication skills
• High quality awareness (TDD, BDD, unit testing)
