Job Opening: Communications Coordinator at Anibar!

We are looking for a communication coordinator to co-design and convey the message of the Anibar Organization.

About this Call:

As a team of people that manage a public space, organize large scale cultural events in the city, and work for and with the community, we are inviting someone to join our team of 18 skilled and motivated people from different professional backgrounds.

Basic details:

  • Position: Communications Coordinator
  • Contract: This is a full-time, one-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Work Location: Peja, Kosova – with the possibility of remote work. The candidate should be able to frequently work in Peja and participate in the weekly meetings.
  • Reports to: Executive Director 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the communication department;
  • Develop, implement, and monitor detailed communication strategies to promote Anibar’s mission, values, and events locally and globally;
  • Create and present content across multimedia formats (traditional and digital);
  • Coordinate with external partners, and stakeholders to amplify Anibar’s visibility and reach
  • Support the team and external contractors with various communication-related tasks and provide guidance on best practices;

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Albanian and English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus);
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices (e.g., marketing, social media management, media relations, SEO, PPC).
  • Creative writing, editing, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in analyzing communication metrics to measure campaign and initiatives effectiveness;
  • Familiar with audiences and communication strategies for diverse age groups and communities;
  • Efficient in managing and synergizing tasks, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; 
  • Strong attention to detail in written, verbal, and visual communications;
  • Sensitive, careful, and respectful in approach to work and relationships with people;
  • Good interpersonal skills of being communicative, attentive, flexible and collaborative;

Preferred Background:

  • Previous experience in cultural or civil society organizations;
  • Education background of communication, public relations, marketing, social sciences or related fields;
  • Knowledge of cultural management is a plus;
  • A desire to grow and learn continuously;
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join the Anibar family. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, training, and development. 

About Anibar:

Anibar is a dynamic organization led by passionate activists dedicated to empowering young people in Kosovo to express their ideas and perspectives through animation. It provides a platform for addressing important social issues relevant to the youth of the region. Anibar organizes two major festivals: the Anibar International Animation Festival, now in its 15th year, and the Peja Jazz Festival, which has held four editions so far. The organization also manages the only cinema in Peja, Kinema Jusuf Gervalla, a vital cultural hub for the community. Additionally, Anibar runs the Anibar Animation Academy, a nine-month intensive educational program aimed at teaching animation to young aspiring artists. With a full-time staff of 18 people in Peja and Prishtina, Anibar plays a key role in promoting cultural exchange and creative expression in Kosovo.

  • Contract: This is a part-time employment, one-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement. 
  • Work Location: Peja – Kosovo. Applicants should be eligible to work in Kosovo at the start date of the employment. 
  • Reports to: Executive Director 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes of the human resources within the Anibar programs;
  • Ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, and convey policies clearly;
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures;
  • Coordinate training and development programs;
  • Ensure compliance with Kosovo labor laws and organizational standards.

Qualifications and skills: 

  • Proven experience in Human Resources and working with people;
  • Strong knowledge HR best practices and of of labor laws;
  • Interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Sensitive, careful, and respectful in approach to work and relationships with people;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; 
  • Proficient in Albanian and English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus);

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Prishtina Academy;
  • Manage and coordinate workshops, courses, and other educational activities in line with the Academy’s strategic goals;
  • Collaborate with mentors, students, and external partners to ensure the smooth running of the Academy;
  • Develop and implement outreach programs to engage new students and grow the animation community in Prishtina;
  • Liaise with local and international partners to promote the Academy’s vision and activities.

  • Communication and collaboration abilities;
  • Experience in project management, preferably in educational or cultural fields;
  • Passion for the arts, animation, and cultural development;
