Job Summary

Democracy International (DI) is seeking to recruit highly skilled technical consultants (STTA) to support the Social Contract Activity program needs in Kosovo. These opportunities include short- and long-term assignments (from a week up to several months) in Kosovo. DI does not list specific consultant positions but rather has an open call for consultants and uses this pool to search for technical experts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in project support and oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders; and
  • This position is open to both expatriates and Kosovo citizens.
  • In-depth familiarity with, understanding of, and ability to successfully navigate within the Kosovo context;
  • Experience and technical expertise working on local governance, anti-corruption, communication, open governance, public-resource management, transparency, or accountability, particularly in an international development context.
  • Professional fluency in English and Albanian/Serbian

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in the relevant field listed above;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with USAID or other international donors;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field listed above;
  • 7 years of experience in project support and oversight;
  • Professional fluency in English and Albanian is required. Proficiency in Serbian is desired.

  • In-depth familiarity with, understanding of, and ability to successfully navigate within the Kosovo context;

Reporting:

  • This position reports to the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party.
