The role: Business Development Manager

Location: Prishtina

Qualifications and experience

  • Humanitarian/development professional with a relevant Masters’ Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in business development, proposal development, donor mapping/engagement and developing fundraising strategy in the international development sector with a strong track recorded of successfully securing donations.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent representation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience leading the preparation of successful proposals and reports for several different donors e.g. EU, SIDA, SDC, USAID, UK government programming etc.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets.
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
  • Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner.
  • Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies.
  • Commitment to Save the Children values, including willingness to abide by and enforce the Child Safeguarding policy.

Contract length: until 31.12.2022 (with possibility of extension)
